Replace the standard internal mains power supply of a compatible Ajax device with the appropriate low-voltage board. This allows the system to use a suitable external battery or low-voltage power source where a permanent mains connection is unavailable.

Security away from a fixed mains supply
Suitable applications can include vacant properties, construction sites, mobile installations, or facilities with an unstable mains supply. The power source must be selected for the actual conditions.
Battery operating time depends on source capacity, the device model, active communication channels, temperature, and system use. CHM calculates the required supply rather than assuming a fixed runtime.
Choose the correct device pairing
The official compatibility list for this model includes: Hub (2G), Hub Plus, and ReX.
Compatibility with another Ajax model must be confirmed before installation. PSU models are not interchangeable across all hubs and range extenders.
Internal installation and testing
The board replaces the standard mains power supply inside the device enclosure. The installer disconnects the supply and follows the model-specific instructions for replacing and connecting the board.
CHM checks the source voltage, connector, polarity, device startup, battery status, and communication after installation.
